2014 Ford Taurus Overview

Now available with two new exterior colors, the 2014 Ford Taurus is a full-size sedan that can be equipped with (optional) AWD. Available engines include a standard 3.5-liter V6 (288 hp/254 lb-ft of torque) and optional 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged (240 hp/270 lb-ft of torque). A 6-speed automatic transmission enables fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 17 mpg city to 29 mpg highway, depending on drivetrain selection (standard FWD or optional AWD). For increased performance Ford offers the SHO trim level, equipping the Taurus with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle activation, fuel mileage is an EPA estimated 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Features include 20-inch wheels, twin chrome exhaust tips, navigation system, push-button start, rear-view camera, and heated front seats. Safety is comprised of adaptive cruise control, collision warning with brake support, blind spot information system (BLIS) with cross traffic alert, front-impact airbags, side-impact airbags, overhead airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and electronic stability control (ESC). The Taurus is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
