For starters, you'll have to create a new search by selecting the criteria you want most in a car. Click "Search AutoTrader.com" and view the results. If you like what you get, click "Save Search Criteria" at the top of the page. Next, name your search criteria for easy organizing.

If you choose a descriptive name that's meaningful, you're more likely to remember it later. That way, you can easily identify and quickly sort your saved searches or cars in a list.
The most important tip is to choose a name that's descriptive. For example, saving several cars with the same or similar year, make and model may not be distinctive enough. Try taking note of a special feature of a car or search you're saving.
Also, cut out small words like "and" and "with." Keep in mind that although we allow 50 characters, some special features such as dropdown lists require that we truncate the names. So use the space wisely!
