Completely new for 2013, the MINI Cooper Paceman is the two door sport variant of the MINI Countryman. The standard FWD Paceman is powered by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 121 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque while the Paceman S comes equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 181 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. The Paceman S ALL4 trim has all the same features as the Paceman S, with the exception of all-wheel-drive. A 6-speed manual comes standard on both trims but drivers also have the choice of an optional 6-speed automatic. For increased performance MINI offers a John Cooper Works trim level that is equipped with a 208 hp producing version of the Paceman S engine. The standard Paceman gets an EPA estimated 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway. Features include adaptive xenon headlamps, performance suspension, and the MINI center-mounted speedometer. Safety is comprised of dynamic stability control (DSC), dynamic traction control, park distance control, anti-lock brake security (ABS), and an ultra rigid body. The Cooper Paceman is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.
