(2007 model shown)
Three different S60 models anchor the Volvo lineup for the 2008 model year: a tubocharged front-driver, a turbo-driven all-wheel-drive edition, and a turbocharged T5 model that tops the range.
Updated with a new front end in 2007, the 2008 S60 keeps the stock turbocharged 2.5 liter five-cylinder and its 208 horsepower; it's a front-drive model now offered with an optional five-speed "Geartronic" transmission included in a Premium Package that also includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror and pre-wiring for satellite radio. Black Stone and Maple Red are new colors.
The same vehicle can be outfitted with all-wheel drive and the same options in the S60 AWD.
The top of the range model is the S60 T5, with a 247-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-liter engine and a standard five-speed Geartronic transmission. Seventeen-inch wheels are included, as is leather seating, a power sunroof, and MP3/WMA functionality on the CD player. An Imola two-tone interior is a no-charge option on vehicles with the Advanced Package, and available for a fee on the T5. Black Stone is the new color; Ice White, Magic Blue, Willow Green and Passion Red have been discontinued.
Volvo's S60 R is history, too.
