The Chevrolet booth at the 2009 SEMA Show contains a number of Camaro-based concepts including the Synergy and Leno concepts we've already covered. Three of these Camaro concepts are specifically designed to appeal to the unique tastes of very different audiences.

Camaro Graphics

The Camaro Graphics concept represents an intersection of online communities and the real world. The Camaro design team came up with six different options for accessory graphics packages. Rather than using focus groups or arbitrary management decisions to select which version to produce, Chevy asked Camaro fans on Facebook to weigh in. Each of the top four designs will be applied to a Silver Ice Metallic Camaro during one day of the SEMA Show. After thousands of enthusiasts have seen the car in person and on Facebook, a final round of voting will occur to pick the winning version for production consideration. You can vote online on the Camaro Facebook page.

Camaro Dusk

The Camaro Dusk concept is intended for the type of buyer who might otherwise consider an Audi or BMW. Buyers of those premium European makes care about style as much as they do about performance. Chevy hopes to tempt them away with a package that includes an aggressive look with sophisticated details. The Camaro Dusk has a lowered ride height, custom ground effects and the rear spoiler off the SS model. It also features unique 21-inch BBS wheels with corresponding trim around the taillamps and fog lights. Additional performance enhancements include the exhaust system and Brembo brakes from the SS. On the inside, the seats and door panels are trimmed in sand-colored Sedona leather with Jet Black trim. A high-end Boston Acoustics audio system, Wi-Fi connectivity and built-in iPhone cradle satisfy these buyers desire for advanced technology features.

Camaro Chroma

The Camaro Chroma concept demonstrates how owners can mix custom parts available from dealers to create a unique vehicle that reflects their personality. This particular car starts with a V8 model in Summit White and adds a combination of current and upcoming options from the Chevy parts catalog. The Chroma concept adds a new silver stripe package, rear fender vent graphics, and a color-matched ground effects package. It also features three soon-to-be released options: a "Blade" rear spoiler, unique front grille with body-colored outer frame, and 21-inch wheels with silver-painted spoke centers and a Victory Red stripe around the outside. Additional performance and interior upgrades round out the vehicle, including a Hurst short-throw shifter and red-painted Brembo brake calipers. Customers can easily pick from the full dealer parts list to build a Chroma of their own, or mix and match from all the options to build something completely individual.

Will these three concepts hit their intended targets? Only time will tell, but it's good to see Chevy thinking outside the box to reach beyond the existing Camaro base.
