Base-level ATS models start around $33,500 and use a 200-hp, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. The base-level powerplant is a 268-hp, 3.5-liter V6 carried over from last year's model. For shoppers looking to minimize their carbon footprint, the Avalon Hybrid uses the Camry Hybrid's 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. That engine is rated at 40 mpg city and 39 mpg highway and makes 200 hp. The Avalon starts around $32,000, while the base price of a luxurious Avalon Limited is just over $40,000.
