While many Americans gear up for the holiday season by purchasing gifts, decorations or travel arrangements to see friends and family, automakers are hoping some consumers might fit a new car into their holiday plans. That's especially true for luxury automakers, which suffer from a more seasonal business than mainstream manufacturers due to lower volumes. As a result, many upscale brands use incentives to sustain their business throughout the winter months - and after carefully searching, we've compiled a listing of some of today's best luxury car special offers for consumers looking for an extravagant gift this holiday season.

Acura ZDX

While the Acura ZDX may feature controversial styling, buyers who can look past its bizarre lines will find a great deal in November. According to the automaker, shoppers looking to lease a ZDX can do so for just $499 per month through the end of the month with $2,999 due at signing, or, for just $570 per month, a 35-month ZDX lease with absolutely nothing due up front. If you're interested in financing instead, Acura is offering qualified buyers 0.9 percent interest rates for up to 36 months on 2012 and all remaining 2011 ZDX models. But if you need something a bit more traditional, the automaker is offering the exact same deal on its MDX, save for a slightly lower monthly payment for the larger SUV's zero-down lease.

BMW 5 Series

BMW's brand new 5 Series is already available with a host of special finance and lease offers. All versions of the sedan are offered with interest rates as low as 0.9 percent for 24 months, though that figure jumps to 3.9 percent for 25 to 60 month terms. But the strongest incentives are for shoppers looking to lease, who can drive away in a brand new 528i for just $589 per month with $3,200 due at signing - not a bad deal on a car that starts at more than $47,000. Better yet, the 5-series GT is available with lower monthly payments than its sedan counterpart - a great deal if you can get past its controversial styling.

Infiniti G25

The sporty Infiniti G is available with several attractive incentives in November, but the most appealing offer comes on the base-level G25. Buyers looking to finance the 218-horsepower sedan can get financing rates as low as 1.9 percent for 36 months or 2.9 percent for 72 months - but the best offer on the upscale midsize sedan is a lease deal. According to Infiniti, shoppers looking to lease the sedan can do so for just $299 per month, provided they can make the initial payment of $3,298. And for $349 per month - with just $2,499 due at signing - consumers can lease a brand new 2012 G37 sedan, which includes a more muscular 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine.

Lincoln MKT

The large Lincoln MKT crossover may be slightly unusual, but it's also a good deal through the end of 2011. Buyers looking to purchase the SUV can take advantage of $1,000 cash back, or financing rates ranging from zero percent for 36 months to 1.9 percent for up to 60 months. For shoppers who would rather lease the MKT, which features a standard 270-horsepower V6 or optional turbocharged 355-horsepower V6, Lincoln is offering a $569 per month lease rate for 39 months with just $1,800 due at signing.

Mercedes-Benz M-Class

With just two months to go until the end of 2011, Mercedes and rival German luxury brand BMW are locked in a bitter fight for the worldwide sales crown - and that means great incentives. Through the end of November, qualified buyers can take advantage of 1.9 percent financing for up to 66 months on the 2012 Mercedes M-Class SUV - a stunning deal on a brand new model. The automaker is also offering special lease offers on the recently redesigned SUV, including a monthly payment of just $599 - provided you can stomach the $4,894 due at signing.

Volvo S60

Volvo's handsome new S60 is available with several special offers during November. According to the automaker, the 250-horsepower turbocharged T5 is available with 0.9 percent financing for up to 48 months, or lease payments as low as $399 per month with $0 due at signing. To us, that's a great deal considering the sedan's stunning new styling and its generous list of standard features, which includes City Safety automatic braking, 17-inch alloy wheels, HD radio and XM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and memory for its driver's seat and exterior rearview mirrors. Unfortunately, Volvo doesn't have any incentives on its 300-horsepower S60 T6, which scoots to 60 miles per hour in an amazing 5.5 seconds yet still manages 26 miles per gallon in highway driving.
