Although the station wagon market is dwindling, a few new models remain. We've listed today's top station wagon deals and incentives to help shoppers find the best new models at the best prices.
The Ford C-MAX is a compact, 5-door hatchback with wagon-like interior room and cargo volume. In July, it's available with several incentives. For qualified buyers financing their next car, Ford is offering the C-MAX with 0.9 percent interest for up to 36 months or 1.9 percent for 48 months. While those deals aren't the 0 percent incentives offered by some automakers, they're still good numbers for a new car. Ford is also offering $1,000 cash back, which can be taken by shoppers paying in cash or financing.
The Subaru Outback is among the most popular station wagons. In July, shoppers interested in an Outback can get deals on 2013 or 2014 models. The 2013 Outback is, of course, the better deal: Subaru is offering 0 percent interest for up to 36 months on all 2013 models or 42-month lease rates with payments from $265 per month after $1,965 due at lease signing. But 2014 models aren't far behind, offering 0.9 percent interest for up to 36 months and a $279 monthly lease payment with the same money down.
Subaru XV Crosstrek
The Subaru XV Crosstrek is an Impreza-based station wagon with higher ground clearance for improved go-anywhere capabilities. In July, it's offered with two incentives. For shoppers looking to finance, the XV Crosstrek is available with 2.9 percent interest for up to 36 months -- a good deal on a brand-new model. But lease shoppers get an even better incentive, as Subaru is advertising monthly payments starting at just $249 per month for 42 months after $2,149 down at lease signing.
Toyota Prius v
The hybrid Toyota Prius v is a new, larger member of the Toyota Prius family. In July, it's offered with incentives for shoppers financing or leasing their next vehicle. For buyers who want to finance, Toyota is touting 0 percent interest for up to 48 months. That deal is better than the 36 months offered by the Prius c, though it's not quite up to the standard Prius's 60-month 0 percent deal. Shoppers who would rather lease can also get a deal, as Toyota is offering a 36-month term with payments from $279 per month after $2,678 at lease signing.
The Volvo XC70 is a luxury-oriented wagon with standard all-wheel drive and off-road-ready styling. In July, it's available with a deal for shoppers leasing their next vehicle. Through the end of the month, qualified drivers can lease an XC70 for 36 months with payments starting at $435 per month. That's a good deal, though it requires $2,899 cash down at lease signing.
