The number of drivers who want a station wagon may be dwindling, but there are still several wagons available to shoppers. Our list of wagon deals includes the best deals and incentives on a few of the best wagon models remaining on the market.
The Audi allroad is essentially an A4 Avant station wagon with standard all-wheel drive and raised ground clearance. But since Audi cancelled the A4 Avant, the allroad is the last remaining wagon in Audi's U.S. lineup. Through the end of September, Audi offers two strong cash-back incentives on its allroad model. For loyal Audi drivers who currently own one of the brand's models, Audi is offering $1,000 cash back on all 2013 or 2014 allroad models. And through the end of the month, Audi is also offering the same deal for new owners.
The Subaru Outback is a midsize wagon that provides an SUV alternative thanks to standard all-wheel drive. Based on the Legacy sedan, the Outback is offered in September with a few deals and incentives. For qualified shoppers looking to finance, Subaru is offering 0 percent interest on all 2013 Outback models for up to 36 months. That deal jumps to 0.9 percent for 2014 models. Lease shoppers also get a deal this month, as Subaru is touting a 42-month lease with payments from $269 per month after $1,969 down at signing on all 2014 Outback models.
Subaru XV Crosstrek
The Subaru XV Crosstrek offers a 4-cylinder engine, standard all-wheel drive and raised ground clearance for off-road capabilities. In September, the 2013 XV Crosstrek is offered with two incentives. The first is a lease deal that boasts a 42-month term with payments from $249 per month after $2,149 down at lease signing. For those who would rather finance, Subaru is offering the XV Crosstrek with 2.9 percent interest for up to 36 months. No deals are available this month on the Impreza wagon, which shares many components with the XV Crosstrek.
The Toyota Venza blurs the line between wagon and crossover. In the wagon camp, it offers a Camry platform and a choice of Camry powertrains. But it also boasts slightly increased ground clearance and available all-wheel drive. In September, it's offered with two incentives. For shoppers looking to lease, a 2013 Venza is offered with payments from $279 per month for 36 months after $2,678 down at lease signing. Qualified finance buyers also get a good deal, with Toyota offering 0 percent interest on the 2013 Venza for up to 60 months.
Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen
The Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen adds extra practicality to VW's popular Jetta sedan. In September, the best deals on a 2013 Jetta Sportwagen are available to finance shoppers: VW is offering 0 percent interest for up to 60 months on the 5-door Jetta. For shoppers who aren't sure if they want a sedan or a wagon, there's good news: That deal also applies to the remainder of Volkswagen's 2013 model lineup.
The Volvo XC70 is a midsize wagon with standard all-wheel drive and raised ground clearance. Shoppers interested in a 2013 XC70 can get a good deal on the go-anywhere wagon this month, provided they're interested in leasing. That's because Volvo is offering the XC70 with a 36-month term and payments from $435 per month. The only catch: Drivers have to put down $2,899 at signing. But since the deal also includes $1,000 cash back, shoppers can think of it as $1,899 down at signing -- or $1,000 in free options.
