Our latest list proves you don't need to spend a fortune to get a fuel-efficient new car. We've rounded up some of the top green car deals on some of our favorite fuel-sipping models -- and each deal is good through the end of December.
The Chevrolet Volt is a 5-door plug-in hybrid hatchback capable of traveling around 30 miles on a single charge. In December, it's available with several strong incentives, whether shoppers are looking to lease, finance or pay with cash. For buyers paying in full, Chevrolet is touting a whopping $7,000 cash back on the 2013 Volt. For qualified shoppers looking to finance, Chevy is offering 0 percent interest on the 2014 Volt for up to 48 months. And for those looking to lease, the 2014 Volt is available with payments from $269 per month for 36 months after $2,499 down at lease signing.
Ford Fusion Hybrid
The Ford Fusion Hybrid is a midsize sedan powered by a highly efficient 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain. In December, it's offered with incentives for shoppers interested in leasing or financing. For drivers looking to finance, Ford is touting interest rates as low as 0.9 percent for 36 months or 1.9 percent for 48 months -- a deal that can be combined with up to $500 cash back. That offer is available for both the 2013 and 2014 Fusion Hybrid. Drivers looking to pay in full can also get a good deal, as Ford is offering up to $1,500 cash back on the 2013 Fusion Hybrid or $1,000 back on the 2014 model.
Honda Civic Hybrid
The Honda Civic Hybrid is essentially a compact Honda Civic sedan with a 4-cylinder hybrid engine. Fuel economy is a whopping 44 miles per gallon city/44 mpg hwy, which places it among the best cars in its class. Through the end of December, the Civic Hybrid is offered with one incentive. Qualified shoppers looking to finance the car can get a 2013 Civic Hybrid with 0.9 percent interest for up to 60 months -- a rare deal on the miserly compact sedan.
The fully electric Nissan Leaf is a 5-door hatchback capable of traveling around 70 miles on a single charge. In December, it's still offered with several good incentives from Nissan. For buyers looking to finance, Nissan is offering the 2013 Leaf with 0 percent interest for up to 36 months. But the best deal is still a lease incentive, which touts payments from $199 per month after $1,999 down at lease signing. Yes, some cars are still less expensive. But remember, the Leaf also saves you from having to get gas or oil changes. That means some shoppers can save enough money to make the Leaf almost seem like it's free.
Toyota Camry Hybrid
The Toyota Camry Hybrid is a midsize sedan with a fuel-efficient hybrid 4-cylinder engine. In December, it's offered with several incentives. For qualified shoppers looking to finance a Camry Hybrid, Toyota is offering 0 percent interest for up to 60 months -- a deal that's available on both the 2013 model and the 2014 Camry Hybrid. For drivers who would rather lease, Toyota also has a deal available this month: a 36-month term with payments from $239 per month after $2,638 down at lease signing. That deal applies to the 2014 Camry Hybrid LE.
