Why are cars like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord considered boring?

AutoTrader: It's hard to say for sure why some people consider cars like the Camry boring. It could be because there's just so many of them on the roads. The Camry has been one of the most popular midsize sedans for many years, which means they're pretty common. And to a lot of people, common equals boring.
Some of the new styling cues should go a long way toward changing the car's image. The prominent chrome grille, low profile tires on the SE and sculpted taillights mean the Camry no longer looks generic. During our two weeks with the 2012 Camry, we heard many positive comments, especially regarding the sporty Camry SE. So obviously not everyone feels that way.
