Hi, I'm Amanda Salas and I'm here at the Detroit Auto Show at the Cobo Center for AutoTrader. Several manufacturers chose this world-renowned event to debut new additions to their product lineup and here are just a few.

Chevy took the wraps off its 2014 Silverado pickup that features some attractive changes to both the exterior and interior. Outside, a new grille treatment distances the Silverado a bit further away from its corporate cousin, the GMC Sierra. Three new gasoline engines benefit from direct-injection and continuously variable valve timing, plus, rear-hinged doors have been replaced with conventional hinges that add to the cab's overall safety and ease of entry.

The folks at Infiniti unveiled their new Q50 sedan that replaces the G37 and also ushers in the new model nomenclature at Infiniti. All sedans and coupes will take on the Q prefix while SUV's and crossovers will be identified by QX. The Q50 is powered by Infiniti's powerful 3.7-liter V6 tied into a 7-speed automatic transmission. A high-performance Q model sedan and a hybrid-powered version of this new entry from Infiniti are also on the drawing boards.

BMW's Z4 receives some subtle updates for 2014 and among the most noticeable are the three new colors, including a fiery Valencia Orange Metallic that is only available with a matching orange and black interior color scheme. No changes under the hood with three engines--a turbo 4 and two turbo sixes--providing the power and an optional hardtop will also be carried over from last year's model.
