The new Range Rover Sport is a more responsive premium SUV than the standard Range Rover. The exterior styling features a sleeker profile and slanted roofline similar to the Range Rover Evoque. The Sport is also lighter by as much as 1000 pounds compared to its predecessor thanks to liberal use of aluminum throughout the Sport?s architecture.

Four engine choices include a 340-horsepower supercharged V6 or an optional 510-horsepower supercharged V8. Diesel models available are a V6 with 258-hp or a peppier V6 with 292-hp. All engines come with 4-wheel-drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Range Rover?s marketing team didn?t choose New York to unveil the Sport on just a whim since New York represents the largest concentration of Range Rover buyers in the world. The 2014 Sport will sell for a base price of around $63,000.
