Jaguar has already hit a home run with its F-Type Convertible, a sports car that generates all the sexiness and excitement 2-seat Jaguars have always possessed. Now, here in LA, the highly anticipated 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe has been officially unveiled, and it's just as striking and seductive as its convertible companion.
We had a good idea what the F-Type Coupe would look like, since the C-X16 Concept was expected to be the genesis of the new Jag.
The Jaguar design team has given the Coupe a strong resemblance to the convertible, with daring lines and a wind-cheating shape. The sloping roofline blends seamlessly into the car's body, and some may find it even more attractive than the convertible model.
As expected, the interior of the F-Type Coupe is gorgeous, with fragrant leather surfaces and a host of comfort, convenience and technology features.
Base power will come from the same supercharged 3-liter V6 engine as the convertible, offering up either 340 horsepower for starters or 380 hp in the F-Type S edition. A supercharged 5-liter V8 dishing out 550 hp will make it to the lineup in the F-Type R Coupe.
All engine choices will be accompanied by an 8-speed automatic transmission, but a manual transmission may be added later.
