Chevrolet calls it the most capable, versatile and technologically advanced midsize pickup truck on the market, so the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado's debut here in Los Angeles has been worthy of attention.
The Colorado will be Chevy's smallest pickup offered in America, an idea that many truck buyers might find unfavorable. But smaller, more fuel-efficient pickups have an audience, especially with gasoline prices continuing to flirt with $4 per gallon.
Even so, truck buyers also look for ruggedness and go-anywhere capabilities, and Chevrolet says that the new Colorado will score big points in those areas.
Engine choices will include a gasoline inline 4-cylinder, a turbodiesel 4-cylinder and a direct-injected V6.
The exterior has an aerodynamic profile, and the interior continues within the current truck trend, offering carlike cabins.
It's expected that the new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado will heat up the midsize pickup truck market, spawning new offerings from both domestic and imported truck producers.
