For a while, it looked as though the days of the high-end, big-engine, giant SUVs were ending. But the market for these upscale sport utilities has rebounded and is now strong enough for Cadillac to bring its new, fourth-generation Escalade to the playing field.
Cadillac is not missing an opportunity to showcase the new Escalade, which is aimed at buyers who want prestige, personality and power with no shortage of technology and convenience features.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is big on horsepower, equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 pushing out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.
Lots of cargo space, a leather-lined cabin and a full complement of the latest GM technology, such as a 12-inch reconfigurable gauge cluster, are just a few of the selling points the Escalade makes.
The new security system on the 2015 Cadillac Escalade is comprehensive, too: It includes intrusion, inclination and glass-breakage sensors.
Expect to see the new Escalade appearing at Cadillac dealers in the early spring of 2014.
