Chevrolet introduced the Z/28 in 1967 as an option for the Camaro, and now it's back and production-ready at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

Pushing out over 500 horsepower, the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a naturally aspirated monster. Boasting a 0-to-60 time of four seconds, this is truly a track car with active aerodynamics. A front-end splitter, a rear diffuser and a wicker bill on the spoiler all work to create downforce to keep the Z/28 glued to the track.

Air conditioning adds 31 pounds to the car, so it's offered as an option. This Camaro comes standard with a 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission. An automatic isn't even offered.

Bottom line: The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a track car -- built for the street.
