- Buick LaCrosse offering "Ultra Luxury" interior package
- Package boasts high-end leather, wood and suede trim
- Ultra-luxury interior offered on certain LaCrosse trims for $2,495 extra
Buick has added an extra-luxurious interior option to its flagship LaCrosse sedan for the 2014 model year. The so-called Ultra Luxury package is available now, and it features several upgrades over the car's standard interior.
The interior package's most striking feature is its unique color, which blends two hues: black, and one that Buick dubs "Sangria." In photos, the color comes off as a deep cherry red, or possibly a dark purple, and it's used on several surfaces, ranging from the dashboard and the seats to the door panels and center armrest.
Beyond its unique color, the LaCrosse's Ultra Luxury interior package also boasts a rich, soft leather upholstery on the front and rear seats, the center console and the door armrests. Buick calls the trim "premium leather" and notes that it's complemented by black suede on the sedan's headliner and door pillars.
Of course, an ultra-luxury interior wouldn't be complete without wood trim, and the LaCrosse's Ultra Luxury interior package certainly has a lot of that. Buick says several surfaces of Ultra-Luxury-equipped LaCrosses will feature Shadow Tamo Ash trim, using wood that's primarily known for its use in musical instruments. Buick says the wood's appearance varies, meaning that no two interiors are alike.
If you're interested in a LaCrosse equipped with the Ultra Luxury interior package, you'll need to opt for the sedan's 3.6-liter V6. You'll also have to go for a LaCrosse Leather, Premium or Premium II trim level, and then you'll need to pay $2,495 extra for the luxurious upgrade. According to Buick, drivers interested in the interior can order it now.
What it means to you: The latest Buick LaCrosse offers ultra-luxury trim for Buick shoppers who want the most upscale experience possible.
