If you're shopping for a new compact SUV, there are a lot of great choices. Like the 2013 Toyota RAV4, the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V are either all-new or recently redesigned. Since the RAV4 is newest, we thought it would be helpful to answer some of your questions about the small crossover.
One question we heard a lot was about choosing between leather and cloth seats. The RAV4 doesn't actually offer leather seats, opting instead for a synthetic material called SofTex. SofTex feels like leather, but is both more durable and easier to clean than normal leather. We decided to really put SofTex to the test using a kid and a dog.
Another added benefit of SofTex is that the material isn't animal-based. If all of that sounds appealing, you should know that the new material is only available on the 2013 Toyota RAV4 Limited.
