What's new: The 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage is mostly unchanged. It was added to the Vantage lineup for the 2010 model year.


The V12 Vantage is the most expensive model in Aston Martin's Vantage model range. Other Vantage models include the V8 Vantage and V8 Vantage S. As their names suggest, they're powered by V8 engines. The V12 Vantage, however, boasts a 510-hp 5.9-liter V12 taken from the outgoing DBS. That gives the two-seater lightning-quick acceleration; it hits 60 mph from a standing stop in around four seconds.

Like other Vantage models, the V12 Vantage offers two bodystyles. The standard V12 Vantage is a hardtop coupe, which uses today's classic Aston Martin design language. Shoppers who prefer an open-air experience can get the V12 Vantage Roadster, which is a soft-top convertible. All models include two seats, two doors and a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing for the 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage starts around $181,000. The convertible V12 Vantage Roadster starts at $196,000. That pricing places both models just below the larger DB9, which offers the same 510 horsepower. The DB9 coupe starts at $184,000, while the DB9 Volante's base price is just under $200,000.
