- Shaq's Ford F-350 is for sale in Sanford, Fla.
- It includes a 10-inch lift and other add-ons
- Shaq was the truck's only owner
Not long ago, we brought you Shaquille O'Neal's Porsche Panamera, which was for sale on AutoTrader.com in Atlanta, Ga. Now, we've got something bigger, quite literally: a 2009 Ford F-350 SuperCrew that also once belonged to the famous basketball star.
According to Adam, a salesperson at Gibson Truck World in Sanford, Fla., O'Neal was the truck's only owner. That's verified on the F-350 vehicle's CARFAX report, which shows the truck was originally purchased at a Ford dealer in Windermere, Fla. Shaq lives in Windermere, an Orlando suburb that's also known for being the site of Tiger Woods' Escalade crash. Shaq lives in a mansion adorned with Superman logos.
But the F-350 vehicle's CARFAX also reveals another interesting detail. While the truck's odometer reads a reasonable 44,000 miles, the CARFAX shows dealer visits in California, Florida, Ohio and Massachusetts. To us, that suggests Shaq enjoyed the pickup so much that he shipped it wherever he played rather than leaving it at his Orlando home. In California, he played for the LA Lakers. He also did brief stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio and the Boston Celtics in Massachusetts.
Fans of big trucks will find it hard to fault Shaq for taking the pickup wherever he went. That's because this is no ordinary F-350, but rather a highly-modified upscale F-350 Lariat. In addition to the luxury features included with the Lariat model, Shaq's F-350 boasts a 10-in lift, putting the already bulky truck high in the air. Its Dually configuration means it has four wheels in back, while unique rims and a front push bar give it a more aggressive look. According to Adam, the truck includes more than $40,000 in aftermarket add-ons.
But since Shaq has moved on from the F-350, it can now be yours. Adam said it's listed at $48,995 but noted that the price may be negotiable for the right buyer. If that's you, just think of it as paying for those wild add-ons and getting a truck for almost nothing.
What it means to you: For years, Shaq's Ford F-350 went with him wherever he traveled. Now you, too, can take it anywhere for an entry price of less than $50,000.
