For sale right now on Auto Trader is an early-run Chevrolet Camaro that once belonged to Dr. Phil.
Dr. Phil McGraw is a psychologist and TV personality who rose to fame as a regular on the Oprah Winfrey Show in the late '90s. Dr. Phil would often appear on the show to dish out advice as a psychology expert. His appearances were such a hit that Dr. Phil went on to star in his own self-titled show in 2002.
The show is still running strong today and is currently in its tenth season.
Dr. Phil's Camaro is being listed for sale through Bob Hall Auto Dealerships in Yakima, Washington. According to Jeff Luxmore, who works at Bob Hall, the car was bought directly from the TV star through an online auction site.
Luxmore said he asked one of the celebrity's assistants if Dr. Phil could include a signed headshot with the car. The TV psychologist agreed and Luxmore said the autographed photo would go with the Camaro when it is sold.
The car itself is pretty special too. The VIN number provided on the ad proves the Camaro was the fifth model off of the assembly line in 2010. According to the dealer, it is also the first yellow Camaro in the new body style.
A couple of other items also make this muscle car stand out. Modifications include a black roof and gill accents, a custom exhaust and a set of black wheels. And the good doctor was apparently occupied with other things, because he put just over 2,500 miles on the car.
Even without the custom upgrades, celebrity past and the early run number, this is still a 426-horsepower Chevrolet Camaro. In factory spec, the SS with the manual transmission can go from 0-60 mph in about five seconds.
The dealer is asking $35, 572 for the low mileage muscle car. When you take the modifications and celebrity past into account, that's a pretty good deal when compared with the estimated KBB value for similar models.
