For 2007, the Equinox gets a newly redesigned instrument cluster and dash panel in addition to a variety of safety, ride and convenience changes. A car-based cross-over that is available in LS and LT trim levels, with a 3.4Liter V6 that is available in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configuration. Stabili-Trak, electronic stability control and four-wheel disc brakes are now standard equipment on this five-door five-passenger SUV.
The 2007 Equinox combines the traditional Chevy values of low prices, strong reliability, and plenty of features. This five-seat SUV is built on a stretched version of the Saturn Vue chassis and it offers a surprising amount of interior space. Having a rear seat that slides back and forth allows you to tailor your Equinox for more cargo or more people space in the back, depending on your current needs.
For 2007, Chevrolet has added stability control to the Equinox as standard equipment. There is also a whole new instrument cluster and center stack. Four-wheel disc brakes are now standard, as are head curtain air bags. There are some revised exterior color choices and new aluminum wheels. Plus, you'll find an increased cruising range, thanks to a gas tank that is four gallons larger.
The Chevy Equinox gets some serious upgrades for 2007, making it even more competitive in the small SUV market. Where some SUVs get by with a four-cylinder engine, the Equinox employs a 3.4L V6 built by General Motors. This motor makes 185 horsepower at 5,200 rpms, and 210 lb-ft of torque. It is backed up by a five speed automatic transmission.
