Ford has always offered one of the best pick-up trucks on the market, and the new-for-2007 Ford Expedition uses the F-Series' stiffer chassis. The Expedition, particularly the EL, offer considerably more passenger space than the competition, especially in the third row. Plenty of trim levels and option package are available to transform the Expedition from a trusty workhorse into a luxurious passenger conveyance.
Ford redesigned the Expedition for 2007. Aside from a new chassis and body, there is also a brand new model, the Expedition EL, which has a wheelbase 12 inches longer than the standard Expedition. Towing capacity increases by 300 pounds to 9,200 pounds and a six-speed automatic replaces the four-speed transmission previously offered.
The 2007 Ford Expedition uses the new stiffer frame from the highly acclaimed F-Series pickup. The hefty structure has allowed the Ford engineers to tune the four-wheel independent suspension for an exceptionally smooth ride that helps to make the time spent in the luxurious cabin extremely pleasant.
