The 2009 Audi TTS is a 2-door sports car that is offered as a true coupe or a convertible roadster. The TTS is a new car for 2009 and is the sportier version of the popular Audi TT. Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine, the Audi TTS pumps out 272 hp and has a 6-speed dual-clutch semi-manual gearbox. The chassis of the 2009 Audi TTS has been reworked with recalibrated electronics that allow for controlled drifts. Fuel consumption is very good for a sports car at 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. 0 to 60 mph is reached in 4.9 seconds for the coupe and just 5.1 seconds for the roadster. Both cars have an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The Audi TTS utilizes a dual circuit brake system, electronic stability control and front ventilated disc brakes to slow you down quickly and safely. The 2009 Audi TTS standard features showcase top of the line safety items such as front, side and knee airbags, a side intrusion protection system and an extremely rigid body shell to keep passengers safe.
The Audi TT has aged incredibly well, with sharp exterior styling and an especially stylish interior, which is roomier and more distinctive than the outgoing TT model. The new TT is built with weight-saving aluminum components which allow for spirited performance and good fuel efficiency. The all-weather aptitude of the 3.2 quattro model makes it an especially good choice for those who regularly face inclement weather conditions. And for the performance buyer, the new TTS should give the Porsche Boxster and Cayman a good run for the money.
Following 2008 redesign, the 2009 Audi TT returns with few changes, though a new model joins the lineup. The TTS tops the model's performance charts, with a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder that puts out a big 265 hp and 258 ft-lb of torque. The TTS is available as a coupe or roadster, and both wear a more aggressive body, particularly up front, where the deep fascia and grille hint at its sporting purposes. Audi's S-tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission is standard, as is driver-adjustable magnetic suspension.
The 2009 Audi TT is offered as both a coupe and a roadster. The roadster has a power-retracting soft convertible top, which can open in just 12 seconds and operated at road speeds up to 25 mph.
