The largest Ferrari doesn't have the largest price, but it is substantial at $318,000 to start. What that buys, though, is exclusivity, a daily-driver Ferrari that fits four adults, top-of-the-line performance and a truly luxurious interior.
There are few new additions to the 612 Scaglietti for 2009, and it does now have the F1 SuperFast paddle-shift transmission, for faster shifts, and the 'manettino' switch on the steering wheel, which adjusts stability controls. Ceramic brakes and a full glass roof are now standard. The Scaglietti is the first to take advantage of Ferrari's new customization program, Ferrari Atelier.
Like all Ferraris, the engine in the 612 Scaglietti is the highlight. The 6.0L V12 has 48 valves and can churn out 540 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque, with its 6-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. The updated F1 SuperFast transmission, which is also found in the 599 GTB, is capable of shifting in 100 milliseconds.
