2010 Bentley Azure Convertible

Summary

Provided by NADAguides.com

Introduced in 2006, the 2010 Bentley Azure is Bentley's most prestigious convertible. The three ton drop-top is powered by a hand-built 6.8-liter twin-turbo V-8 with 450 hp and a staggering 645 lb-ft of torque linked to a 6-speed automatic. EPA economy figures are 9/15 mpg city/hwy. In true Bentley tradition, the British coachbuilder custom builds each Azure by hand, with only the finest and highest quality materials and craftsmanship. Optional 19 or 20 inch wheels, real wood veneers, genuine leather hides, and numerous comfort, technology, and safely features make the Azure a true convertible land yacht that only Bentley could achieve.

Benefits of Driving a 2010 Bentley Azure Convertible

With only a few hundred Azures being built each year, the value of this convertible is all in the intangibles: prestige, luxury and exclusivity. But it is the tangible touches that give the car its reputation, such as natural wood veneers and a stately exterior design that makes a statement like no other.

What's new for 2010?

For 2010, the Bentley Azure returns only in the performance-themed T, featuring a twin-turbocharged 6.75L V8 that makes 500 horsepower as opposed to last year's 450 in non-T models. The interior is still fully customizable, with a selection of leathers for the upholstery and wood trims for the surfaces.

Model Strengths

  • Quiet ride for a powerful convertible
  • custom Naim sound system
  • luxury interior
  • exclusivity from limited build numbers

Model Review

The Azure is similar in style and mechanics to its past stablemate, the Bentley Arnage coupe, which was discontinued for 2010. The Azure has a hand-made 6.75L V8 that makes 500 hp and a staggering 738 lb-ft of torque. This power is channeled through a 6-speed automatic transmission that features semi-automatic and sports functions, which is more than enough to get its nearly 6,000-lb body moving at a good clip. Stopping is also no problem with the optional carbon/silicon carbide brake upgrade, which Bentley claims to be the largest brake system fitted to any production car--16-inch rotors in front and 14-inch rotors in the rear with 8-piston calipers.

Original Warranty  help
Original Warranty
An original warranty is the warranty associated with a vehicle when it is brand new. In addition to the original warranty, select items, like tires, are typically covered by respective manufacturers. Also, an act of Federal law sometimes provides protection for certain components, like emissions equipment.
The original warranty is often broken down into multiple sections, including:
Basic Warranty:
Typically covers everything except for parts that wear out through normal use of the vehicle. Examples of non-covered items are brake pads, wiper blades and filters.
Drivetrain Warranty:
This warranty covers items the basic warranty does not protect. Wear and tear items such as hoses will not be covered, but key items like the engine, transmission, drive axles and driveshaft often will be.
Roadside Assistance:
The level of service differs greatly with this warranty, but many manufacturers offer a toll-free number that helps provide assistance in case you run out of gas, get a flat tire or lock your keys in the car.
Corrosion Warranty:
This warranty focuses on protecting you from holes caused by rust or corrosion in your vehicle's sheet metal.
Please check the owner's manual, visit a local dealership or look at the manufacturer's website to learn more about the specifics of the warranties that apply to a vehicle.
