Unchanged since its 2009 model, the four-door 2010 Saturn Outlook has room for up to eight passengers. The 3.6-liter V6 FWD is rated at 17 mpg city/24 mpg highway and the AWD is 16 city/22 highway according the EPA-estimated fuel economy. The Outlook has 5-star front and side crash rating along with StabiliTrak and front, side and curtain airbags for added safety. Other features include heated driver and passenger seats and TheftLock.
The Outlook features lots of interior space, with three rows of seats for eight passengers. With the two rear rows of seats folded down, the Outlook has 117 cubic feet of space (or 20 cubic feet just behind the third-row seats). In mid-2009, the Outlook got an upgrade to its towing capacity, to 5,200 pounds. This full-size crossover starts at around $30,000, and can be had fully loaded for not much more.
There are no major changes planned for the 2010 Saturn Outlook. Last year's upgrades, such as standard leather seating in the XR and a Bose sound system for both the XR and XE models, will likely remain, as will the direct-injected V6 engine.
The powerplant in the Outlook is a direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 with 281 hp in the single-exhaust XE model and 288 hp in the dual-exhaust XR, similar to the power output of V8 engines. Fuel economy, though, stays within the realm of V6 engines, at a combined 19 mpg for both the all-wheel- and front-wheel-drive versions. High pressure fuel injectors and a new engine mount system reduce engine noise for a quieter ride.
