The 2010 Suzuki SX4 is a sporty, five-passenger compact vehicle that is available as a sedan or a hatchback crossover wagon. The wagon version is available with FWD or AWD, while the sedan is only offered with FWD. The SX4 is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine which produces 150 hp and is rated at over 30 mpg on the highway. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, while a CVT is optional. The SX4 offers a high level of features at an affordable price and is available with a great list of optional equipment which includes Bluetooth connectivity and auto climate control.
Aimed squarely at those looking to get the most value for their dollar, the Suzuki SX4 offers a wide array of features at an entry-level price. It's still the cheapest all-wheel drive subcompact on the U.S. market, and this year's SportBack option tops the list of options that make for a fun driving package, that even when well-equipped, is priced at or below many of the competition's base models.
For 2010, the SX4 gets updated exterior and interior styling, more power from the standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, and two new transmissions--a continuously variable automatic (CVT), and a close-ratio 6-speed manual. A new model, called the SportBack, also joins the lineup this year, with more aggressive suspension tuning, a unique front fascia design, no roof rack, new front and rear spoilers, 17-inch alloy wheels, and 4-wheel disc brakes. Inside, several cosmetic changes have been made, including new seat fabric and a redesigned instrument cluster.
The 2010 Suzuki SX4 is offered as either a 5-door hatchback or 4-door sedan. Sedans are available in Base, LE, and LE Popular trim, with Sport Sedans available in S, SE and GTS trim. Hatchbacks are offered in Base, Technology, Touring or GTS trim levels. All-wheel drive is available, but only in the 5-door hatchback, now known as the Crossover. The basic sedan starts at $13,359, while the Crossover is listed at $15,849 and the SportBack at $17,949.
