With a larger grille and restyled headlights on the front, the 2011 Dodge Charger new exterior changes also includes tighter tire to fender clearance as well as LED taillights. Returning this year in SE as well as a rear-wheel and all-wheel drive R/T trims, the 2011 Dodge Charger rides on an improved suspension system. With 17-inch cast aluminum wheels standard on the SE version of the Dodge Charger. Wheel sizes up to 20 inches is available from the factory. Capless fuel filler, aluminum hood and automatic headlamps are exterior features of note found on the 2011 Charger. Inside of the 5-passenger cabin, a new 8.4-inch touchscreen operates on the main control of audio and climate controls through the 2011 Dodge Charger's standard Uconnect Touch. A Garmin navigation system is optional on both SE and R/T models. Instead of the four powerplants the 2010 model offered, only half that number is presented on the 2011 Dodge Charger led by the newly-added 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine. While the Pentastar V-6 delivers 292 horsepower, a 5.7 liter HEMI V-8 generating 370 horsepower. Absent for 2011 is the larger HEMI V-8 powerplant as the high-performance Charger SRT8 trim is taking at least this year off from the sedan.

The Dodge Charger was re-introduced in 2006, with much of the same muscle-car character as its ancestor. With a powerful V6 or V8 engine, rear-wheel drive and a big, roomy interior, it has a lot of the same appeal as the Charger of the past. For 2011, the Charger gets its first major revision since its reintroduction. This means a new engine lineup, a new exterior restyling, a more stylish interior but all the same highlights that made the re-imagined Charger such a winner.
