The GMC Acadia made history in 2009 when it was released as the General Motor's brand first crossover utility vehicle. Powered by a 3.6 liter V-6 engine supplying 288 horsepower to either front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrains, the 2011 GMC Acadia offers up to 116.9 cubic feet of usable cargo space. SL, SLE and SLT trim level choices from last year are joined by an all-new Denali for the 2011 GMC Acadia. Standard features found on the 2011 GMC Acadia SL model and up includes cruise control, power windows/locks, rear under-floor storage and XM satellite radio. Electronic navigation, rear-seat entertainment system and a heavy-duty trailer equipment package can be opted on 2011 GMC Acadia models. The new 2011 GMC Acadia Denali debuts fitted with trim-specific 20-inch aluminum wheels, HID headlamps and a high-class exterior as well as interior featuring perforated leather seating and wood accents. All 2011 Acadias are equipped with 7-passenger seating but 8 occupant cabins are available for SLE models and higher.
Style meets practicality with the 2011 GMC Acadia, which is closely related to the Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse. At 205 inches long, the Acadia is larger than many crossover rivals, like the Ford Edge or Toyota Highlander.
Introduced in 2009, the GMC Acadia is a classy alternative to traditional sport-utility vehicles, offering handling and ride comfort of a car with some of the interior convenience and roominess of a minivan. For 2011, heated cloth front seats have become available on the SLE model, and the radio's USB port has been relocated for easier access. White Diamond Tri-coat and Gray Green Metallic have been added to the list of available colors.
The 2011 Acadia is available in three trims: the base SL, the mid-range SLE, the uplevel SLT and the luxury Denali. Each is available with either front- or all-wheel drive.
