The benchmark of dependable, compact cars, the 2011 Honda Civic Sedan presents few changes over the previous year's model and thereby continues to provide a wide-range of trims. With an entry-level 2011 Civic Sedan DX offered as basic transportation, the DX-VP trim level upgrades the four-door compact car by adding air conditioning and a 160-watt stereo system. The high-end 2011 Honda Civic Sedan EX-L edition features heated, leather seating, power moonroof and 6-speaker sound system with USB connection as part of a comprehensive premium package. A performance-minded Si model is also available with the 2011 Honda Civic Sedan complete with a sport interior and a 197 horsepower 2-liter VTEC engine mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Other 2011 Civic Sedan trim models are included with a 140 horsepower 1.8 liter four-cylinder powerplant capable of delivering 29 miles per gallon fuel economy whether paired to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. An option of running on compressed natural gas continues to be offered with a 2011 Civic Sedan GX model. All 2011 Honda Civic Sedans provide a wide host of safety features including front, side, curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes and a tire pressure monitoring system while the passengers are secured within Honda's ACE (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) body structure.
With two body styles, basic, luxurious, or high-performance Si guise as well as green-focused Hybrid and natural-gas GX sedans, the Honda Civic is offered in a very wide range of models to suit the wants of small-car shoppers looking for anything from simple, cost-conscious transportation to full-featured touring.
The Honda Civic is largely unchanged for 2011.
The 2011 Honda Civic lineup starts with the frugal Civic DX, then builds up to LX, EX and EX-L models. Each of those models comes with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 140 horspower and is hooked up to either a 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed automatic. In addition to a range of performance upgrades, Si models get a 197-horsepower, 2.0L 4-cylinder and a 6-speed manual transmission. Hybrid models get a version of Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) mild-hybrid system, altogether producing 110 horsepower.
