A sporty-looking large, premium 2011 Infiniti FX50 crossover vehicle features a well-crafted body involving lightweight aluminum construction for its exterior doors. Available only in all-wheel drive, the 2011 Infiniti FX50 propulsion comes from a double overhead cam, 5-liter V-8 engine. Punching out 390 horsepower and 369 pounds-feet of torque, 3,500 pound towing capability is presented for when the 2011 FX50 utility needs to be called upon. A V-8 engine, all-wheel drive premium crossover vehicle, fuel consumption is high with 14 miles per gallon city and 20 miles per gallon highway. Exterior appointments to the 2011 Infiniti FX50 includes HID headlights, aluminum roof rails and massive 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Power adjusting steering wheel, Infiniti voice recognition, 8-inch color touchscreen navigation system and a 9.3 gigabyte on-board Music Box hard drive compliments the 2011 Infiniti FX50 as high-tech standard interior equipment. Optional upgrades include the Deluxe Touring package, which adds 21-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and Maple wood interior accents.
The FX35 has had its price dropped by $1250 over last year's model, and the top-end FX50 price tag came down by $2600. The FX loses nothing in the bargain, and even gains a few options. The FX manages to keep its sporty performance in a crossover body with an appealing design.
The biggest news for the FX is its lower price for 2011. Even with the price drop, the 2011 FX got a few new features, such as a standard power liftgate and a new color, Malbec Black. Other changes occurred in the options lineup, in which the Navigation Package has been added to the Premium Package for the FX35, and a Deluxe Touring Package with cosmetic upgrades has been added for the FX50.
There are two models for Infiniti's performance crossover, the FX35, with a 3.5-liter, 303-hp engine, and the FX50, with a 5.0L, 390-hp engine. The FX35 can be had with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; the FX50 comes in all-wheel-drive form only. Any way it's configured, the FX comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control and downshift rev matching in manual mode.
