Riding on a 131-inch wheelbase, the 2011 Lincoln Navigator L sport utility vehicle is the largest vehicle in the premium luxury brand's present lineup. Topped by its large chrome grille (influenced by the 1960s Lincoln Continental), the 2011 Lincoln Navigator L sport utility vehicle exterior sports power deploying running boards allows an easy entrance and exit from the 2011 Navigator L interior. A sizable interior just under 9 cubic feet larger in passenger volume to the regular Navigator model, the 2011 Lincoln Navigator L cabin features standard dual-zone climate control, heated and cooled front seats as well as a 14-speaker THX II 5.1 surround sound stereo system. New for 2011, the Lincoln Navigator L interior includes electronic features Sirius voice-activated navigation, HD radio and a rear seat entertainment system including headrest-mounted displays as well as wireless headphones. Offering up to 42.6 cubic feet of cargo space when 7 passengers are seated in three rows of leather seating, a maximum interior cargo capacity of 128.2 cubic feet when the back two rows of seating have been folded. With rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, the 2011 Lincoln Navigator L uses a 5.4 liter V-8 engine generating 310 horsepower and 365 pounds-feet of torque.
The LINCOLN Navigator is a large, luxury sport utility vehicle that competes with the Cadillac Escalade. The standard list of features is extensive and augmented by a long list of options. The large SUV design of the LINCOLN Navigator means cargo capacity and available 4-wheel drive make a very capable vehicle that is also among the most luxurious rides available.
Not much is new for 2011, but it did get a few upgrades to the standard equipment, such as voice-controlled navigation with SIRIUS Travel Link and HD radio. The Trailer Sway Control feature now works with the Roll Stability Control system. The LINCOLN Navigator is a FlexFuel vehicle capable of using E85 ethanol/gasoline blend.
Lincoln offers two trim levels for its large SUV: the LINCOLN Navigator and the LINCOLN Navigator L. Both feature a 5.4-liter V8 engine that makes 310 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque -- enough to tow up to 9000 pounds. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and rear-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is optional on both models.
