The 2011 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a full-size luxury sedan available in hybrid and AMG trim levels. The base S550 sedan comes standard with a 382 hp producing 5.5-liter V8 engine, 7-speed automatic transmission, and RWD. The S600 trim boasts a 510 hp producing 5.5-liter V12 engine, 5-speed automatic transmission, and RWD. What's new for 2011?

This is in addition to the S400 mild hybrid that was introduced last year. While the flagship S600 and S550 continue with few changes, the high-performance S63 AMG gets a larger 5.5-liter engine and the S65 AMG gets a horsepower boost.
