2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van
Benefits of Driving a 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is ideally suited to airport shuttles, church groups and retirement homes, as they offer easy entry and exit, comfortable seating and economical operation. Mercedes-Benz diesel engines are known for their longevity and durability, as well as their low cost of operation over many years of ownership.
What's new for 2011?
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van, which is available at Daimler Vans USA commercial vehicle dealers, rather than Mercedes-Benz car dealerships, provides seating for up to 12, along with easy entry, an extremely roomy interior for passengers or cargo and a full roster of safety features.
- Amazing interior space
- easy ingress/egress
- seating comfort
- responsive turbo-diesel engine
- reputation for longevity
The Sprinter is powered by a 3.0L turbo-diesel BlueTec V6 engine that makes 188 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque--the latter figure explaining the Sprinter's surprisingly good acceleration, even with a full load. The BlueTec engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz says that the powertrain gets 30-percent better fuel economy than a comparable gasoline engine and complies with the most up-to-date emissions standards from the EPA and California Air Resources Board.
