The entry-level V8 Vantage's price may start in the low six figures, but with that price comes the heritage and exclusivity of the Aston Martin brand. Even the base 4.7L V8 puts out an amazing 420 horsepower, while the 6.0L V12 makes an almost unbelievable 510 horsepower. Luxury appointments, such as leather seats and a navigation system are standard, while options at this level include an umbrella fitted in the trunk.
After a few styling tweaks and engine updates in 2011, the Aston Martin Vantage returns with no big changes. The N420 special edition is no longer available, but Aston plans to build more special edition Vantages in the near future.
The V8 Vantage coupe and roadster carry a 4.2L V8 engine that generates 420 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque mated to a either a 6-speed manual or Sportshift automated manual transmission. The 6.0L V12 engine makes 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, and it only comes with a 6-speed manual. A V8 Vantage S model is tuned to 430 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque, and features faster acceleration and a higher top speed thanks to the all-new 7-speed Sportshift II automatic. The V8 and V12 Vantages are rear-wheel drive with the engine mounted under the hood, just behind the front axle.
