2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Sport Utility Crossover
Benefits of Driving a 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Sport Utility Crossover
Land Rover's Range Rover brand is known for building go-anywhere vehicles that provide a healthy amount of luxury and technology. For 2012, the company has launched the Evoque, which is aimed at achieving better fuel economy. But this is no tarmac-only off-road imposter -- Haldex all-wheel drive is standard, with several electronic settings for a variety of conditions, and power comes from a 2.0L turbo inline 4-cylinder engine that makes 251 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and BMW X3, the Evoque is a strong contender with a look all its own.
What's new for 2012?
The Range Rover Evoque is all-new for 2012. Based on the already established LR2 platform, the new Evoque features bold styling and the choice of either 2- or 4-door bodies.
- Rugged looks, fuel efficient turbo engine, capable all-wheel-drive system, 2- and 4-door configurations
The Evoque is all-new for 2012. It caters to a decidedly 'greener' customer base than traditional Range Rover buyers, but still possesses the chops to keep up when the road gets rough. Based on the LR2 platform, the Evoque comes in two different configurations: a 5-passenger wagon with either 2 or 4 doors. Styling is edgy and aggressive, but it's clearly a Range Rover from front to back, with characteristic styling touches at the headlamps, grille and taillamps.
