A full size luxury SUV, the 2012 Lincoln Navigator L is the extended wheelbase version of the Navigator. Under the hood drivers will find a 5.4-liter Flex-Fuel V8 engine that produces 310 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and RWD the Navigator achieves an EPA estimated 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. Towing capacity, when properly equipped, is a roughly 8,700 lbs. An advanced multi-link rear suspension offers a smooth and comfortable ride even on rougher roads. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performs independent crash testing of new vehicles and then assigns them a score based on their performance.
