The 2012 Porsche Boxster is a mid-engine roadster that is powered by a 2.9-liter flat-6 engine that produces 255 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque. Upgrading to the Boxster S trim grants the driver a 3.4-liter flat-6 engine that produces 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. Additional trims include the light-weight Boxster Spyder and Black Edition Boxster, both of which produce 320 hp and a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds. All Boxster models are RWD and come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The Boxster gets an EPA estimated 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.
