Benefits of Driving a 2013 Bentley Continental Convertible

The Continental is one of the fastest and most lavish prestige-luxury coupes available. With more comfort and luxury than the Aston Martin DB9 and Maserati GranTurismo yet a more exclusive look and feel than the BMW M6 or Mercedes0Benz CL63 AMG, the Continental GT models are good choices for those who want to stand out, yet be cosseted in the way that few luxury cars allow.

What's new for 2013?

The 12-cylinder Continental GT and Flying Spur models, completely redesigned last year, are carried over, but in addition to those Bentley is introducing a new twin-turbo V8 for the GT. At the other side of the lineup is the all-new GT Speed, which packs an even stronger version of the 12-cylinder engine, a new 8-speed automatic transmission, and a long list of additional 'Mulliner Driving Specification' equipment.

Model Strengths

  • Relaxed yet very strong powertrains
  • smooth ride yet responsive handling
  • quiet, tight cabin
  • hand-crafter interior materials
  • coupe and sedan body styles available
  • more fuel-efficient V8 model

Model Review

The Continental is now offered in two body styles, the GT coupe and the Flying Spur sedan. The coupe comes in two flavors: GT and GT V8. The GT V8 is new for 2013 and priced lower than the Continental GT; it comes with a 500-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine and new 8-speed automatic. The regular GT and Flying Spur get a 567-hp W12 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Original Warranty  help
Original Warranty
An original warranty is the warranty associated with a vehicle when it is brand new. In addition to the original warranty, select items, like tires, are typically covered by respective manufacturers. Also, an act of Federal law sometimes provides protection for certain components, like emissions equipment.
The original warranty is often broken down into multiple sections, including:
Basic Warranty:
Typically covers everything except for parts that wear out through normal use of the vehicle. Examples of non-covered items are brake pads, wiper blades and filters.
Drivetrain Warranty:
This warranty covers items the basic warranty does not protect. Wear and tear items such as hoses will not be covered, but key items like the engine, transmission, drive axles and driveshaft often will be.
Roadside Assistance:
The level of service differs greatly with this warranty, but many manufacturers offer a toll-free number that helps provide assistance in case you run out of gas, get a flat tire or lock your keys in the car.
Corrosion Warranty:
This warranty focuses on protecting you from holes caused by rust or corrosion in your vehicle's sheet metal.
Please check the owner's manual, visit a local dealership or look at the manufacturer's website to learn more about the specifics of the warranties that apply to a vehicle.
