Now featuring standard heated/leather front seats and hands-free audio streaming, the 2013 Chrysler 300 is a full-size entry-level luxury sedan available with RWD and AWD drivetrains. The standard 300 is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Chrysler also offers an optional 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that yields 363 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. For premium performance modifications drivers can upgrade to the SRT8 trim level, offering a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 465 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices consist of a 5-speed automatic and 8-speed automatic transmission with E-Shifter. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 14 mpg city to 31 mpg highway, depending on engine selection. Available features include navigation system, CD/MP3/DVD player, 20-inch wheels, dual zone climate control, two mode adaptive damping suspension, remote start, rear camera, and automatic headlamps. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock braking, brake assist, and tire pressure monitoring. The 300 is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
The 300 presents a luxury big-car design and style at an affordable price. The 2011 redesign gave the 300 an Audi-like appearance and presence, but prices still start around $30,000. The lineup of powerful engines and available all-wheel drive mean the 300 also has performance credibility. Inside, a comprehensive list of standard equipment as well as safety technology means the 300 competes above its class in both features and price.
2013 brings relatively minor changes to the Chrysler 300 model lineup. The Limited model has been dropped, consolidating the lineup and making things a bit simpler. All-wheel drive is now available across the entire model range with the exception of the high performance SRT8 and the V6 has been given a slight boost in power for 300S models. 300S and SRT8 models also get an optional black painted roof.
The Chrysler 300 family comes in Touring, 300S, 300C, 300C Luxury and 300 SRT8 trim. The standard engine is a 3.6L V6, while the optional engine is a 5.7L Hemi V8. The SRT8 comes standard with a tire-melting 470-hp 6.4L V8.
