Refreshed for the current model year, the 2013 Ford Mustang now comes standard with steering wheel mounted audio controls and HID headlights. Living up to its muscle car lineage the Mustang is available in a V6, GT, Boss 302, and Shelby GT500 trim level. Convertible trims are available for V6, GT, and GT500 models. The base Mustang is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 305 hp while the GT is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that yields 420 hp. Upgrading to the Boss 302 and Shelby GT500 variants significantly increase power to 444 hp and 650 hp, respectively. Transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and Tremec 6-speed manual (GT500). Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimate range of 15 mpg city to 31 mpg highway. Features include glass roof, adjustable performance features, electronic power assist steering, rearview camera, navigation system, heated seats, and hands-free capabilities.
