Now equipped with a lithium-ion battery and Plus Sport System (electric speed boost), the 2013 Honda CR-Z is a compact 3-door hatchback that combines a hybrid powertrain with traditional sports car elements. The CRZ is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder hybrid engine and electric motor, producing 130 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual and CVT transmission. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 31 mpg city to 39 mpg highway, depending on transmission selection. Focuses on the front side of a vehicle. It simulates crashes that can occur in intersections by striking a 3,015-pound weight against the side of a vehicle at 38.5 MPH. A five-star rating means there is 5 percent or less chance of injury.

Similar to the front side impact test only now the focus is on the rear passenger.
