All new for 2013, the Lexus GS 450h is a luxury, hybrid, sport sedan powered by a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid engine that produces 338 hp, for a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds. Drivetrains consist solely of RWD, paired to a 6-speed sequential-shift automatic (ECT-i) with paddle shifters. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 29 mpg city to 34 mpg highway. Features include automatic climate control, heated/cooled seats, power moonroof, leather interior, USB iPod� connectivity, and drive mode select. Model Review

If a car has sporting pretentions, it ought to have a good engine. Thankfully the engine in the GS is a gem. It's a 3.5L unit that produces a very healthy 306 horsepower. The engine features four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing and direct injection. The Lexus manages to hit 60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds while still averaging 23 mpg in combined highway/city driving. The engine is mated to a state of the art automatic transmission, incorporating several nifty features taken from the IS-F high performance sports sedan. Downshifts can now be automatically blipped, and upshifts come with less hesitation. The transmission has several settings, including an eco-mode which revises the throttle mapping and climate control systems for a more fuel efficient journey.
