Completely re-designed for 2013, the Lincoln MKZ is a mid-size entry-level luxury sedan that can be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that yields 240 hp or a 300 hp producing 3.7-liter V6 engine . What's new for 2013?

For 2013, Lincoln has completely redesigned the MKZ. The new car boasts a sleek, 4-door 'coupe' look, with split front grille reminiscent of Lincoln's pre-war Zephyr and a band of LED taillights that spans the width of the car. Up top is a panoramic glass roof, and under the hood, buyers will have the choice of three engines: a turbocharged 240-hp 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder; a 300-hp 3.7L V6; or, in the MKZ Hybrid, a 2.0L 4-cylinder paired with an electric motor good for 188 hp. The Hybrid should deliver an EPA-estimated 47 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performs independent crash testing of new vehicles and then assigns them a score based on their performance. The overall crash test rating is based on how a vehicle performs in the following tests: Driver Crash Grade: Measures the chance of a serious injury to a crash test dummy that is placed in a driver's seat and driven into a fixed barrier at 35 MPH.
