A carry over for 2013, the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class is a four-door luxury sedan powered by a 4.6-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine that produces 402 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Pairing the RWD with a 7-speed automatic transmission enables the CLS550 to achieve an EPA estimated 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. Upgrading to the AMG variant, dubbed the CLS63, will grant the driver a handcrafted 5.5-liter bi-turbocharged V8 engine for a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds. An optional AMG performance package boosts engine performance to a whopping 550 hp. Features include bi-xenon headlamps, sport steering wheel, power tilt/sliding sunroof, rear view camera, power rear window sunshade, heated/ventilated front seats, navigation system, heated steering wheel, park assist, premium sound system with media interface, rear seat entertainment system, 6-disc CD/DVD changer, and hands-free phone capabilities. Safety is comprised of 12-way airbag protection, active blind spot assist, active lane keeping assist, adaptive high beam assist, adaptive damping system, anti-lock braking (ABS), brake assist (BA), and electronic stability control (ESC). The CLS-Class is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.

Mercedes-Benz calls the CLS-Class a coupe, but it's actually a 4-door sedan that's considerably more curvy than most sedans. Model Review

The CLS-Class is offered in two different models for 2013: a CLS550, with a 402-horsepower, 4.6L V8 and a higher-performance CLS63 AMG with a 518-hp, 5.5L V8. Both engines have a twin turbos along with direct injection, and come with a 7-speed automatic, but the CLS63 comes with a special AMG multi-clutch technology (MCT) transmission that uses a clutch instead of a torque converter for better responsiveness, quicker shifts and a more direct feel during high-performance driving.
