Completely redesigned for 2013, the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is a full size seven passenger luxury SUV available in GL350 BlueTEC, GL450, and GL550 trim levels. The 4WD GL350 BlueTEC is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel engine producing 240 hp. Equipped with a 7-speed automatic transmission the GL350 BlueTEC achieves 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. The GL450 and GL550 trims are available with 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engines that produce 362/429 hp, respectively. Both trims come with 4-wheel Electronic Traction System and 7-speed automatic transmission. The GL450 gets an EPA estimated 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway while the GL550 gets a comparable 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway. Features include blind-spot assist, illumination kit, rear seat entertainment system, and heated multi-function steering-wheel. Safety is comprised of electronic stability program, brake assist (BA), antilock brake system (ABS), rearview camera, and 13-way airbag protection.
