Now available with standard Bluetooth and optional TRD performance parts, the 2013 Scion xD is a sub-compact five door hatchback powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 128 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options consist of a standard 5-speed manual and optional 4-speed automatic transmission. Fuel mileage is an EPA estimated 27 mpg city and 33 mpg highway for an average of 29 mpg. Features include AC, 60/40 fold-flat rear seats, power outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, chrome-tipped exhaust, multi-reflector halogen headlamps, Pioneer audio system, and USB port with iPod� connectivity. What's new for 2013?

The 2013 Scion xD gets a few changes, including minor aesthetic improvements and additional safety features. The xD now includes front driver and passenger seat cushion airbags and improved force limiters for the seat belts. Trim is improved around the dashboard, which now features white-faced gauges while the exterior of the car receives smoked color headlight housings and an available two-tone color combination. Pricing remains competitive with the cost of the vehicle only growing by $400 dollars for 2013.

Scion's xD is a 5-door hatchback aimed toward young buyers. Its size puts it squarely in the small car category but provides many of the interior appointments of a larger, more expensive vehicle. Scion's simplified ordering means the xD is offered in only one trim, but can be had with either a standard 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic transmission, as well as an extensive accessory list.
