Starting at $75,000 | Starting at 31 MPG City - 35 MPG Highway
The Cadillac ELR is a luxury sports coupe starting at about $75,000. It competes with other luxury coupes from the likes of BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Of course, most of its competitors make due with a standard gasoline engine, with the one exception being the Tesla Model S. However the Cadillac should have a better range than the equivalently price Tesla, since the ELR has a built in gasoline engine that is capable of recharging the electric batteries on the go. The Cadillac ELR's value is further enhanced by tax rebates associated with owning alternative fuel vehicles.
The Cadillac ELR is a brand-new car for 2014. It's a 2-door coupe that manages to be both fun to drive and good for the environment at the same time. Featuring plugin-hybrid technology, the ELR should boast excellent fuel economy.
Give Cadillac credit, upon seeing the ELR the first thing that comes to mind is not its high efficiency powertrain. The car is a looker, with low slung angular styling that is very aggressive. On looks alone it certainly seems like a worthy competitor to other big luxury coupes. But of course, the ELR is much more than just a pretty face.
